Move Better   Feel Calmer   Be You

Members J · James Sinclair-inspired concept
A repeatable weekly membership built around predictable bookings and an organised service. These are our proposed applications of his ideas, not his advice or endorsement. Nothing on this page is on sale.

YOUR REGULAR PILATES CLASS

Your usual class,
already in the diary.

If you’ve found a class you enjoy, it’s nice to know your place is there next week. Choose one or two regular Mat classes a week, and we’d arrange the bookings for you.

You’d pay every four weeks and find the dates in My Bookings. If you need to change one, you could check whether there’s room at another time.

One class a week, or two?

ONCE A WEEK

Your weekly Mat class

£36 every four weeks · four classes

Choose an available weekly slot and keep that place through each paid period. That’s £9 per class when you attend all four.

TWICE A WEEK

Two regular Mat classes

£72 every four weeks · eight classes

Choose two available weekly slots. Both go in your diary, at the same £9 per class when you attend all eight.

There would be no joining fee. An occasional extra Mat class would cost £10, subject to spaces. Gentle Pilates and Small Group Pilates are separate.

Payments repeat every 28 days. Over 52 uninterrupted weeks that means 13 payments: £468 for the weekly plan or £936 for twice a week, before extras or agreed teaching breaks.

You’d know where you stand.

Your dates booked for you

Once your regular place is accepted, your four weeks of dates would be reserved after payment. Future dates would be added after a successful renewal.

A reminder before class

Your confirmation would list the dates and venue, followed by an email reminder before each class. Your account would keep all the details together.

A clear way to make changes

If your plans change, you’d request a swap into an available class in the same paid period. Your original booking would only be moved once the replacement was confirmed.

How it would work

Would my usual place be guaranteed?

Once Yvette has accepted your regular slot and payment has succeeded, those dates would be booked for you. Joining a waiting list would not reserve a place. If a session is cancelled by the instructor, an agreed replacement, credit or refund arrangement would apply.

Could I come at a different time?

The proposal allows swaps requested at least 24 hours ahead, where a suitable Mat class has room within your current period. Your membership is based on regular slots, so alternative times cannot be guaranteed.

Could I change or stop the plan?

You could request a plan change or stop payments before your next renewal. Your current paid bookings would remain. Changes to regular slots would depend on availability.

What about teaching holidays?

The published teaching calendar would need to show breaks before you join, with an agreed payment pause or other adjustment. The exact policy is still to be decided. The business must not keep charging for classes it cannot provide.

For Josh & Yvette: why this is Members J

Make the service reliable and repeatable.

Sinclair’s published business approach emphasises teams, service standards and systems that can work beyond the owner’s own time. Our application is an organised recurring timetable, clear capacity limits and a consistent customer experience. Read his business-building approach. This is an interpretation, not a recommendation from him.

Track places rather than just member numbers: a twice-weekly member needs two weekly places. Six Mat sessions with 12 places give 72 weekly visits. At £9 per visit, a full timetable generates £2,592 per four weeks, whether visits are used by once- or twice-weekly members. Swaps and occasional visitors need spare capacity; do not sell all 72 visits as freely interchangeable memberships.

Start by assigning regular slots, maintaining a waiting list for each time and recording revenue and costs per class. Document introductions, booking changes, reminders and instructor cover. Add another session only when demand supports its costs; later, an appropriately qualified instructor could deliver additional classes to the same standards.

This model offers steadier administration and a route to a team, but it is not automatically more profitable. Hall costs, instructor pay, retention and unused capacity determine the result. Yvette must agree staffing and cover before any promise of uninterrupted teaching.

The existing My Bookings preview uses flexible credits and a £68 eight-class example. This alternative proposes fixed slots and £72; neither recurring reservations nor these alternative payments are connected yet.
